My art of choice is iconography.

I have been painting icons for 11 years now. I am self-taught, so to speak – I picked up the art from a friend, who taught me the traditional technique of iconography.

Icon from the Greek “eikon” that means “image”. In modern culture it is also used in the general sense of “symbol”. The art of making icons, iconography, follow certain symbolism that carries a message. An icon can be a meaningful gift to family or friends.

Every new icon I paint, I try to make it better – more spiritual, more refined, more powerful.
