I was born and raised in the most romantic, most creative and cultural city in Russia - St. Petersburg. The Gulf of Finland, the Neva River, many river channels and bridges, white nights, stunning architecture and an unimaginable number of museums in my city. By the way, my great-great-great-grandfather was the great Russian icon painter Nikolai Shumov. Therefore, since childhood, I have been in a special creative atmosphere.

I do my paintings in oils, acrylics, oil pastels mainly on canvas. I prefer to use my own style in my artworks which is unique. I love to experiment with texture, different materials, techniques, means of expression and possibilities for expressing my emotions and experience on canvas.

My art is the best forms to observe the world and people, interpret by personal philosophy, psychology and express it through visual message.
The characters of my paintings are in search of a balance between light and darkness, good and evil, an angel and a demon within themselves ....

My paintings are are filled with deep meaning and many details. My art can be considered for a very long time and try to unravel ideas and meanings. It is critical for me to excite people, to touch their hearts and not merely to leave them indifferent.

I create the world on canvas... I spend a lot of time on each of my paintings. Each picture is my child, who separates from me, begins to live his life, seems to breathe...
