The grandson of Marat Babina Ruvimovich may 23, 1929 - October 5, 2010, Moscow) — Russian sculptor, teacher, member of Union of artists. One of the prominent representatives of abstract directions in the Soviet and Russian sculpture from the years 1960-2010 William Mayland named him one of 13 of the best sculptors of his time.
Born may 23, 1929 in Moscow. Father and mother were repressed in the 1930-ies.
In 1945 he enrolled at the Stroganov school.
After graduating in 1948, worked for many years master of metal art, ornamental decoration of buildings, restoration.
From the early 1950s began to work in the field of monumental and easel sculpture.
Since 1969 — member of the Union of artists.
In 1970-e years worked with at-risk youth, teaching them ceramics and wood carving.
In 1980-e years carried out several monumental projects.
The biggest of them is the song "disintegration of the atomic nucleus" at the administrative building of the atomic power station near Tomsk.
Since 1997, led the leadership of the Studio of sculpture at the school № 1311, known as the "school on the set" or "tkhiya".
Some works of Marat Babina are in the Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the Tretyakov gallery and in private galleries of Germany.
Balakovskom buried in the cemetery (Moscow region, Lyubertsy district)[3].
