Bolkvadze Aleksandr

Born in Moscow.
Got technical education, worked at a military aircraft factory.
In 2005, I began to study painting on his own. For 15 years, I has painted more than 100 oil and acrylic paintings, created two dozen sculptures and installations. I painted walls, furniture and decorative interior items, as well as drew hundreds of graphic works on paper and in Photoshop.
Since 2020, I have been gradually abandoning classical materials and painting techniques, starting to explore new forms and mediums. I often use materials such as wood, metal, felt, wool, enamel, mirrors, plastic, hand-cast cardboard and some mixtures of my own invention in my works.
2022-2023 I create mainly three-dimensional, textured installations and sculptures using mirrors.
An important part of my work is the accompanying texts to the paintings. It is the texts that unite all my works into a single universe and connect all the plots. The texts give me the opportunity to dive inside the paintings and see them through the eyes of my characters.
