From the 17th century until the late 19th in the Delta of the Tagus river (Lisbon, Portugal) was built and operated fishing boats muley. The boat was distinguished with peculiar structure of the body and original rigging. At the Maritime Museum of Lisbon is stored model of this boat (mid 20th century), another model of this boat is kept in the Maritime Museum in London. There are not many pictures and images of this boat. One of such images is a painting by Ivan Aivazovsky. The painting captures the belém tower, the waters of the Tagus river and some boats, one of which is muleta. The model you see in the photo was built in 2011. Now it is kept in a private collection.
