The LION is the king of beasts, one of the most common symbols of power and greatness for thousands of years. General symbolism: divine, solar energy (symbol of fire and Sun), strength, courage, wisdom. The lion is the image of all the great forces of nature, the main figure for the personification of the Sun itself.
