A ray of sunlight, breaking through the window, illuminated the table on which stood two vases, making up a picturesque still life. In a bright yellow ceramic vase, as if having captured a particle of sunlight, there was a bouquet of yellow, blue and purple flowers. The combination of warm and cold shades created an amazing harmony. The yellow flowers, like little suns, seemed to radiate warmth, and the blue and purple ones added notes of coolness and mystery. Nearby, in a small crystal vase, lay a bunch of black grapes. Dark, almost black berries, covered with a light bluish coating, contrasted sharply with the bright bouquet and transparent glass. The play of light and shadow on the smooth surface of the berries gave them special depth and expressiveness. This small but expressive still life was pleasing to the eye and filled the space with a feeling of coziness and harmony.
