Alushta is a large resort on the southern coast of Crimea. It is conveniently located on the Black Sea coast between two popular resort towns: 81 km to Sudak and 37 km to Yalta. And about 48 km to Simferopol, where the airport and railway station are located. A highway leading to the southern resorts passes through Alushta.
Alushta, together with the surrounding villages and settlements, is called Big Alushta. It stretches from Partenit to Privetnoye and includes 26 settlements. The most famous are Utes, Maly Mayak, Chaika, Lazurnoye, Luchistoye, Semidvorie, Solnechnogorskoye, Malorechenskoye, Rybachye. The coastline of Big Alushta stretches for 40 kilometers.
