Dreams

The painting was part of the exhibition "Talent of Russia 2022", which was held in Moscow at the New Tretyakov Gallery Silence enveloped the room, creating an invisible but tangible capsule of comfort. Somewhere there, beyond the invisible border, life was in full swing, but here, by the window, time seemed to have slowed down. The girl stood or sat, immersed in contemplation, her silhouette merging with the light penetrating through the glass. Her face, illuminated by a soft, diffused glow - be it the morning sun, the dim reflections of the sunset, or the muted gray light of a rainy day - expressed deep thoughtfulness. Her gaze was directed outward, but it seemed that she saw not only what was behind the glass, but also something much larger, something that was happening in her own inner world. Perhaps she was watching the clouds running, turning them into bizarre images, or watching the people passing by, inventing stories about their lives. Maybe she was simply letting her thoughts flow freely, rushing far beyond the horizon. The window served not just as a transparent barrier, but as a portal between two realities: her quiet, intimate space and the raging, or, conversely, peaceful world beyond the wall. For a moment, she became part of this outside world, not participating in it, but fully feeling it. In her pose, in her slightly bowed head, in the way the light played on her hair, one could feel melancholy or, on the contrary, quiet hope, expectation of something. This moment by the window was her personal refuge, where she could be alone with her thoughts, dreams and memories, allowing her soul to breathe freely and find answers in the infinity of the outside world.
