I am a master of botanical quilling, I was trained by the Korean Association quilling. And this meacity of conveying all the subtleties of living plants through paper prompted me to think of "living portraits"
I really wanted to try to convey with the help of paper strips, not with paints, natural similarity, movement, look.
That's how my "living portrait" technique appeared - Stacking techniques.
The heron has always been considered a symbol of curiosity, vigilance and tranquility. The big blue heron has many similarities to a stork and a crane, embodies tact and delicacy, as it takes off without muddying the water.
Usually the heron is a good omen.
In Egypt, the heron is a symbol of the morning (rising) Sun and is revered as the creator of light. Therefore, it is believed that the heron is the prototype of the bird Bennu (an analogue of the Phoenix), a symbol of revival, renewal of life. Christians sometimes perceive the heron as an allegory of believers rising above the inclinations of life like a heron overcoming rain clouds.
The picture is in a single copy, exact repetition is impossible. Made in Stacking techniques from strips of Korean and Japanese paper. Eye with the effect of "look tracking, made by hand. The frame is deep, you can hang it or put it on a shelf.
